Interesting philosophy. Be the arrogance!
So, you didn’t read my article, but you feel justified in calling it “arrogant” or a “product of arrogance”.
Then you say you learned this ignorance from “the Master”.
Do you not see how incredibly arrogant you are?
TexasTransplant, I wonder just what part you was transplanted.
Most of this thread has not been one bit about WHAT was written, but about some people who just can’t stop picking nits of one kind or another.
But you take the cake. You pronounced judgment without even reading the article.
But I’m the “arrogant” one. Sheesh
LR—thank you for your post.
After reading the post prior to yours, I was just shaking my head and wondering what I had done to attract the nit-pickers.
It is like putting on a lit bulb some night during a moth convention.
Even after 13 plus years here, and posting 20 other threads,I have not seen this kind of reaction. I expected to have folks comment on the content and to have a discussion.
But then, your post, and those of other friends and good folks put things back in perspective.
I think the next month(actually, now, this month) will set the course for America for far into the future. To me, it was important to write about, and I am grateful that FreeRepublic gives me a chance to do that.
And thankful for the encouragement from good folks like yourself. Take care.
I'm writing from Zimbabwe--are you sure about this? ;)
Without prayer, our efforts are in vain. Our greatest leaders demonstrated this, especially in the years of our founding.
Thanks for distilling the essence of my point in only two words.
Well done.
Thank you.
BTW, your homepage is a wealth of information, especially about Obama in 2008-2009. I didn’t realize how much wrong he had done that I had forgotten.
Quix,don-o:
Thought this would be of interest to you, more so because we need prayer for this country this month of June.
Would appreciate if you could pass it on to like-minded folks for prayer for these three events.
ABSOLUTELY INDEED.
WELL WORTH an END TIMES PING LIST PING TO PRAYER.
Also, please remember Tim Snodgrass’ alert to pray for a potential Indonesian super quake between May 18 and June 18.
He doesn’t think that it can be totally averted forever but that it can be delayed.
Further, that if it comes, the following quakes all around the world will be similarly devastating and that when it goes, it will launch such a sequence that will not stop until there’s super massive devastations all around the globe over however many weeks, months or years it takes. But that the Indonesian one would kick such off.
Quix, thank you, friend.
Don’t foget the astronomical occurances that we are hurtling towards later in the year, 21DEC12 to be exact. All of this prepper stuff, political stuff, economic stuff is all related and making people more tense as the days speed along.
I believe that Art Bell used to call it “The Quickening” and I definitely “feel” it.
Ya feel me?
The Missus has the ping list. She is up to her ears in organizing a Rally for Religious Liberty. She’s getting Catholics and Baptists working together, which is unheard of here in upper east Tennessee.
I try to pray for the nation, but we have so affronted the justice and mercy of God, I find it a very difficult task.
There is “something” going on. I feel like we are in the calm before the storm.
Our culture has turned its back on God. The acceptance of gay marriage is but one barometer of this.
God is merciful, but He is just.
There is a perfect storm of events in the next thirty days—that is why prayer is needed, just like in the years when this country was founded.
That is actually my writing. I have sold several thousand copies at a handsome profit already.
don-o, the mrs. is doing a great thing. And I know exactly how difficult a task this can be.
I hear you when you say how difficult it is to prayer for the nation.
But like in the Book of Jonah, God was merciful on the innocent, and wanted Jonah to see that rather than to concentrate on Ninevah’s well-deserved judgment.
For the sake of our posterity and those present day innocents, we need to intercede.
The only other nation conceived and dedicated to God was Israel. Like them, we are failing in our first love to God, and are due the recompense.
Yet, God is merciful to those that turn to him.
Like Elijah, Gideon, Daniel, Isaiah and the other prophets of old, we can stand in the gap on behalf of the nation.
It is our great privilege and responsibility.
Best regards, friend.
Well, if you found a way to make a buck off of this, you are indeed amazing.
However, it is more important that you pray for the nation, especially concerning these three events.
I hope we can agree on that.
For the last couple of years, this passage (along with the verses prior to them, describing the condition of the land) keep coming to me.
I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one. So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger, bringing down on their own heads all they have done, declares the Sovereign Lord. Ezekiel 22:30-31
HR, that is an excellent reference—thank you.
Reminds me of the passage in Jeremiah, where the role of the watchman is described, and how the blood of innocents is upon his head if he fails to raise the alarm.
To me, the sirens are wailing all over the land, and they are a call to action.
Before action, prayer must be the foundation.
Thanks for your post.
Because that passage in Ezekiel has been weighing so heavily on me, it has been my prayer that, like Isaiah, standing in God's throne room in Isaiah 6, every time God says "Whom shall I send? Who will be My messenger?" I will say "Here I am, send me."
well done, well said, well protected...
though an exit cannot copyright intellectual property, a person asking for recognition of source is legit... all it takes is stating it such... and i love how it pokes those in the eye who make it seem that just because they recycle what comes across the AP is somehow their intellectual property...
hehehe
