Mitt Romney not into ‘vision thing’
Politico ^ | 5/27/12 | By REID J. EPSTEIN and GINGER GIBSON

The presumptive GOP nominee has some Republicans worried he lacks the “vision thing” that has hurt previous presidential candidates and haunted George H.W. Bush in his quest to succeed Ronald Reagan.

Some GOP officials fear that their nominee for president has so far failed to articulate a clear and compelling plan for the country if he defeats President Barack Obama in November. Instead of framing his ideas in a positive and specific way — like some of his GOP primary challengers — they say Romney must stop solely running a defensive campaign that leaves voters without a clear idea of where he stands.

Romney is "Wallpaper Paste" in a $1000 suit but he is NOT OBAMA! That must be remembered. The SCOTUS hangs in the balance of this election.

Yesterday I saw it described as “Romneysia”-——the act of deliberate forgetting the GOP is doing when it comes to Romney’s record.

Whatever it is, it has to be better than Obama’s.

I am a Romney fan and I think we are all pretty sick of the vision thing. Typical politico bull.

When our primaries began to sort out and Palin didn’t run and Perry dropped out, I looked around and didn’t like what I saw.

Newt is fun, and articulate but extremely vulnerable as a presidential candidate because he can’t control his mouth.

Santorum was just an annoying loser to my mind and I don’t think he could have beaten Obama.

If God had anything to do with the Republican primaries (which I doubt) I think getting Mitt Romney may well to prove a blessing to those of us who want to defeat Obama.

#1: Vote Obama Out, Out, Out

#2: Vote conservative candidates into the US House and US Senate

#3: Then, if when Romney tacks hard left, impeach him (he’s a white Republican; he can be impeached).

... their nominee for president has so far failed to articulate a clear and compelling plan for the country if he defeats President Barack Obama ....

Unless, of course, you look at Romney's past governence and the things he's actively promoted and grown: state-run health care, the full environmentalist agenda, the effort to force acceptance and forbid rejection of open homosexuality in our society, activist liberal judges to tweak law, and abortion on-demand payed for by taxpayers.

You'd better believe Romney's got a plan for America.

ABO is bad strategy because it's scared strategy.

Romney should likewise keep his plans secret. Let the public color his promise with their own crayons in a way which looks best to them.

Now there's a good, solid reason to vote for Romney!

ABO is as stupid as voting for an orange juice can.

The only difference between the two candidates is the fact that Obama wants to do all the things you've listed and Romney has already succeeded in instituting them in Mass.

A pox on both their houses - Obama versus Romney? Cyanide versus arsenic.

Just a thought ... I think Free Republic gives us plenty of room for “flair” in the tagline. A bright yellow box with tiny typewriter print is ... well, a bit much. Just a thought.

And not voting for whomever is the Rep opponent to Obama would be a suicidal and beyond ignorant decision unless you actually believe that with all we have seen from the clown in the WH, Romney is as bad.

If that is your perception then you have no ability to assimilate, process and extrapolate to a disastrous conclusion all we have seen from the Kenyan.

I must believe that people who think and push ideas such as yours do not have the best interests of America at heart but their own, whatever they may be.

You are in a panicked state of mind, abject panic. You are pissing down your pantleg in fear. STEP BACK mentally and put your mind in a detached place, and consider cooly and coldly the alternatives and risks and realities.

Not right now, but at night or in the car when you're sitting and thinking,. all by yourself, no distractions, just ... pondering. Devote some real time and thought to it, don't just boomerang away instictively in fear like you are doing. STOP with the fear, STOP with the reflex denial, and START thinking it through.

And UNDERSTAND and ADMIT the truth: If Republicans elect Romney, they will be telling DC the world, and America that Republicans are perfectly okay with nationalized health care, the enviro-agenda and the gay agenda, abortion on demand, and activist judges to tweak law. It's ironic that you consider me "suicidal" and "ignorant," when your own strategy is so suicidal and based on squeezing your eyes tight shut to the REAL Romney as demonstrated by his record.

LOL, whose in a panic? Put down the bong pal. Romney says he will overturn Obamacare (if the USSC doesn’t do it before)Will he? Can he? Who knows. If you are wrong then maybe there is no coming back and if I am wrong then the damage is we got RID of Obama.

Like I said, before a patient can even begin to heal, you must stop the bleeding.

Don’t worry about me, friend, you and your kind just stay home or vote third party and then when Obama wins and it all comes down around us (am I panicking?)you can get yourself all puffed up by telling all of us how strong you were to stand by your principles. Damn that willow tree shit, eh? By golly you’re an OAK TREE....SNAP!!

You know, I’d probably disagree with that reasoning but with the Fifth Column being so rabidly behind Obama, they will take any ‘vision’ Romney articulates and turn it against him - or try to.

Maybe the k.i.s.s. way is the best way. Talk of rolling back Obama’s regulations and repealing Obamacare and reigning in the unions to unshackle businesses to create jobs jobs jobs. (Pelosi’s three-letter word!) Speak of conservative and American values such as hard work to attain you goals and of the righteousness of whatever faith you believe in. Providing good educational opportunities, serving the People instead of controlling every facet of their lives. Etc....
