Although my sympathy goes out to the Justice and his family, the fact remains that he's just had two closely spaced object lessions in the value of the Second Amendment and how wrong he was in the Heller and McDonald cases. If more peoplein DC were legally armed, there would be far feweer burglaries, even in upscale areas like the one where Breyer lives.

These darn crooks outta knock this stuff off, they might turn Breyer into a conservative, and then stealing his stuff would be OK.

Burgled for candlesticks?

Sounds like a bad 1940s movie...

If this was Kennedy instead, I would suspect that it was a “message” suggesting which way to go on Obamacare.

Simple problem, simple solution.

Just have the govt take his house and sell it to someone else and he doesn’t have to worry about people breaking into “HIS” house.

He thought it was great for the govt to take other peoples house so he shouldn’t object if his house is taken.

Try ornate silver, pretty easy to get up to that price, and the Breyers are definitely well off.

I'm sure the people who stole his stuff need it more than Breyer. Breyer doesn't respect private property rights if the government is doing the thieving (Kelo v. New London), so he will get no sympathy from me. Redistribution of wealth can be a bitch.

Wonder if this is tied in with the break-ins of certain politicians’ offices on the Hill.....We will know if the press starts accusing republicans of ‘dirty tricks’.

when he came home and found that the robbery had taken place he,no doubt, exclaimed “these people must be found, they obviously need help”.

GoCards, “My tin foil hat thinks Chicago Thugs are looking for some Obamacare justice, just sayin. Awful isnt it? I gotta stop thinking like that”

That was my 1st thought as well. Sign of the times. . .

Looking for dirt on him or planting it like some thought about the recent House burglaries. Breyer’s a solidly reliable lefty on the court, right? Maybe there are whispers he’s not so reliable.
