I don’t get the consent form thing. When my son, the photographer, takes a group portrait he sells a copy before the picture is taken. All the group is included in the photo if they desire. The ones who don’t want a picture simply don’t buy it. Must not have been a professional photographer and the pictures were free.

I can feel the photographer’s pain ... more than you realize.
As a weekly newspaper reporter/photographer, I once caught a great picture of a little girl squealing at the sight of a live lobster being held up. Nobody said anything so I ran the picture on the front page that week.
Then all hell broke loose.
The little girl was part of a messy custody dispute and her estranged father had been searching for her since the divorce settlement. Her teacher forgot to tell me that her picture was NOT to be taken ... let alone published on the front page! YIKES!!!

The “laughing man” strikes again (Ghost in the Shell).
Monday Night Football did something similar a few years ago. Certain players wouldn’t give the standard intro (name, position, college) so the producers super-imposed pair lips on their photos and read the information.

Years from now, when these kids look at this picture, do you think theyll want to see something like this?
Years from now none of those kids will want their own
kids to see something like this.

That's my point. The kids who followed the rules and submitted the consent form (not to mention the parents who are paying for the class picture) should receive a professionaly produced photograph as a keepsake of their graduation, not some doctored photo with a ridiculous looking smiley face superimposed on it.
