Before you comment on this article, be aware that this 9 year old is 5 foot five and 200 lbs. He also was resisting arrest by laying on his hands preventing the officer from completing the truancy arrest. He was also warned by the officer that he was going to be tased and he refused to comply. In fact, after being tased the first time, he STILL resisted arrest.

The old saying? Something like “As Ohio goes, so goes the nation?” There is a reason why our respective individual police forces keep ending up with stories like this one. It tells me that you cannot trust them unless you know them, personally.

I don’t believe the cop’s story. The boy is either not 9 or he is not 5’5”-5’8”and 200-250 lbs. Cops are out of control. What about the suburban woman being tasered in front of her children because she hesitated to lie down on the pavement during a stop for a busted taillight? I would hesitate too because it would seem so ridiculous, so I could get tasered for not being in such deadly fear of a cop that I didn’t jump to do whatever he asked however outlandish it seemed. Whatever happened to the rights of the individual? I don’t lie on the pavement for anyone unless I am there to help someone that’s injured.

They are going to disband the police department.

My town where I lived did that when the cops turned on the residents - especially the kids - one too many times. They were pretty surprised! They had too much money from outside town and too many cops given the amount of real crime going on. That settled that little problem.
