The next step would be "people-free" cities.

Think how environmentally friendly THEY would be!

PS - China already has them.

Who are these accademics pushing for this congestion nonsense that not even the leftist mayor wants to see?

I do not know how one can associate good economy with making people walk. There is not even a plan for electric public transport infrastructure, just houses on the streets? This is ridiculous. What do they want? People to choke on each other to death?

The difficulty in getting around Portland, Oregon, and finding a place to park was exactly why I only shop at large malls outside the downtown area, AND have turned to catalogs and the internet for the majority of my shopping needs.

There is something wonderfully decadent in buying hard to find items while dressed in pajamas and fuzzy slippers!

One of the things I like about the British version of Top Gear. They rag on their politicians for crap like this.

Fine. They can make their new headquarters in that city.

Liberals only believe in Car Free cities for the workers ...not for themselves or their special enclaves in places like Martha’s Vineyard, or Aspen where the Kennedys, Pelosis and Obamas will live and play.

Well, it is like my cousin said, “if you have no license and car, you’re ‘ghettoed’ dude.” Well, it is their agenda to make us all “ghettoed.”

LOL! So what would be left is a people free city as earners escape the prohibitive taxation to pay for all of the public transportation required to make up for the lack of personal conveyance.

Gas tax revenue would disappear overnight, leaving a gaping hole in the budget and the city officials scrambling about to find a new way to tyrannize the earners without scaring them off completely.

The public transportation union employees, who figured they were "God" before but know it now, strike regularly for new benefits and raises, bringing the city to it's knees in chaos at every opportunity and proclaiming themselves the hero when they finally return to work.

Sounds like a great plan there, worthy of Chavez, it is...

This is just the beginning. They have lots of “change” in store for us. Things like “calorie cards” where our caloric intake is limited and monitored. See my tag line.

Got libtard friends?

Do they parrot the pundits who bemoan the radicalizing
of the modern GOP?

It makes me laugh. Their job has ALWAYS been to come
up with dumb ideas like this one. Our job has ALWAYS
been to put the skids on those ideas. Yet, we are the
radicals......
