NEW YORK (AP) - A flower company is the 7th advertiser in recent days to say it is pulling ads from conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh's radio program. ProFlowers says on its Facebook page that it has suspended advertising on Limbaugh's program because his comments about Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke "went beyond political discourse to a personal attack and do not reflect our values as a company."

His enemies have been microscoping him for years, let’s not let them make a big deal out of his current “scandal”.

I found Rush the day he went nationwide. August 1, 1988. I have been a loyal listener ever since and will continue to be.

In some of my earlier posts on other threads, I was unfortunately, not heroic or steadfast. I handed out flyers for Goldwater back in ‘64 when I was at UCLA. Since then, with the brief period of Ronaldus Maximus, the ‘leaders’ of the right have continually let us down. Over the weekend I engaged in moments of self-pity due to Rush’s apology. Never a good posture for a warrior. That’s over. Time to get to work. Our movement is bigger than any one spokes-person.

Fight them back w/ their own fire, ALWAYS! That’s my motto and it’s not really that hard. Just remember any of their arguments can be turned back on them bc they and their arguments are all full of crap. I do it at every chance I get and then sit back and enjoy the hissy fit!!

Of course I think I should have the last word so I emailed them back. Lol.
Can’t wait to call & tell them in person.
We should call their 800 order number and ask them if they deliver condoms.
I similarly don’t have sympathy for them. But I think they use other women as well who do not recognize that leftys are not actually “nice” or sympathetic towards women, rather this “nice” act is simply a strategy they use and it is used sporadically as it suits their real political ends. They used Cindy Sheehan for example and then dropped her like a rock. She probably thought they really “cared” about the things she cared about when in reality they just wanted a show and she provided a convenient tool. She was vulnerable and maybe stupid and they found that a convenient wedge.
Good idea.
