STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Staten Island's female elected officials from both sides of the aisle are demanding that conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh "apologize to all women" for calling a Georgetown University Law student a "slut" on his program.
Limbaugh caused a national firestorm when he used the word after Sandra Fluke testified before Congress about the need for contraceptive coverage.
"What does it say about the college coed ... who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex?" Limbaugh said on Wednesday. "It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex."
He went on to suggest that Ms. Fluke distribute sex tapes of herself.
"If we are going to pay for your contraceptives, and thus pay for you to have sex, we want something for it," he said. "We want you post the videos online so we can all watch."
The remarks brought swift, bi-partisan condemnation in Washington, with President Barack Obama, who called Ms. Fluke personally, and GOP House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), slamming Limbaugh.
The Island's elected women -- state Sen. Diane Savino (D-North Shore/Brooklyn), Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis (R-East Shore/Brooklyn) and City Councilwoman Debi Rose (D-North Shore) -- called Limbaugh's remarks "disgusting" and said they were made all the worse because March is Women's History Month.
"It does not matter if your hero is Eleanor Roosevelt or Margaret Thatcher," said Ms. Savino, "this is about treating women with dignity and respect. If Mr. Limbaugh cannot find it in his conscience to apologize, his fans and advertisers should demand that he does."

If you listen to the libs they are claiming this is all about Republicans ‘ ... taking away a woman's birth control ’. The words they use the most is ‘ ..taking away a woman's access to birth... ’. They also use the terms ‘ ... allow an employer to make a woman's health care decisions ’ and believe it or not even used ‘ ..want the government to make a woman's health care decisions.. ’ when talking about limited these future Obama-care requirements with Blunt amendment.
Now look at the timing of the release of this future 2013 policy by DofHHS. The media storyline (fed to them by Dems) is that it was an initial mistake by HHS but then Republicans ‘over-reached’ by opposing Obama’s ‘compromise’ and turning it into a debate about birth control which they will lose (media story-line).
This regulation doesn't even go into effect until 2013 and the specific regulations and exemptions have not even been made yet. That makes it impossible for the Catholic church to wage a legal battle against it now which would look bad for Obama. And they cant refuse to comply forcing the government to take action against the church until it goes into effect next year AFTER the election. So no one appears hurt by this right now. So far I see no massive religious based civil rights protests, marches, anything organized by the Catholics that are opposed to it.
I think throwing this Obama-care ‘policy decision’ out there 10 months early to get Republicans to argue against it now was planned so they can claim that Republicans are, their nattive : 'trying to start a new fight about a long settled issue, the woman's right to access to birth control, all while American voters are interested in the economy'. And that is exactly what Joe Scarbouro accused Republicans of doing on his Friday show 10 minutes into it. It was like Obama wrote his script.
I think Dems planned this all along. Make these moves then claim that the opposition to them are Republicans the ones starting these side battles. It looks like a planned trap to me.
Now Rush (since this thread is about him) really lightened it up by saying it was really all about Sandra's paid (or free) access to sex. Watching the libs play him on ditto-cam and act shocked on camera is priceless staged drama, especially when Matthews played it to Sandra on camera yesterday for her 'reaction'. Play up the victim woman 'who is just trying to help other woman' theme. Don't forget that Obama phone call to her thanking her for her work.

Perhaps you can go to OCCUPY WALL STREET and the White House, AFL-CIO, ACORN or the Democrat National Committee will pay you $50 per day to carry a sign and scream at the injustice. OR, if you are a S-L-U-T, you may be able to talk some other SLUTS into letting you share their lamp post. Having worked for a mattress company, you'll enjoy finding a customer to take you to a motel to do it on a mattress. Doubt if you will find a Sleep Number, though, as I understand they buy their mattress' from Good Will.
To do the right thing, you should pass on the following link to your employees, because with no Sleep Number sales (due to your firing RUSH), they will just be another statistic on the Unemployed List Survey and applying for food stamps. BUT, there is no doubt in my mind that 70 to 80 percent of them listen to RUSH now, and, will continue to do so. I feel for them, as they have to suffer because you're so STUPID.

Rush apologized for reasons we do not know. He always as a game plane, so attributing his apology to “he was wrong” isn’t said from facts.

Money talks for all these guys. Beck was driven off FOX News because his advertisers pulled out. You don’t make millions and millions of dollars by being a pure idealist. I’m not saying Rush could change his core principles because of a financial reason, but he would certainly buckle over a side comment like this.

Last week, I did some math based on the claim that she spends $1000, the least amount I’ve heard, per year on birth control. If you then figure the most expensive birth control, condoms, it breaks down to $180 per month on condoms.
I won’t go into all the math, but if you figure on 20 minutes per encounter, needing one condom each, she spends 20 hours each week in encounters. TWENTY HOURS. No one male can do that. Really, no one female can.
How can she walk?
Where does she find the time?
And most importantly,
What vitamin does she take and are they sold OTC?
methinks the fluke girl also likes meth... thats the only thing i know of that i’ve heard of that could give someone that kinda endurance.... for someone as intelligent as she supposedly is, i guess she has to run the $100 bill through the nearest trailer park for her “vitamins”...
