My children used to take their sandwiches and eat them into the shape of a pistol and then “shoot” each other.

Today, I would be strip searched, sodomized with a baton, and tasered if they did this in a school.

What a coincidence, I sent my kids to a Lutheran school. My goal was to keep them away from the libs and perverts who run our public schools.

One of my classmates in 7th grade would draw a complete western town and gunfight on a regular piece of notebook paper in class.

They were like still shots of a cowboy movie - Cowboys on rooftops, cowboys and Indians on horseback, Indians hiding behind bushes - all with pistols and rifles shooting the heck out of each other.

He was very good at it - each drawing was a complete story. After each class he would throw them away and do another one in the next class. He never did any homework or participated in classroom work but he could draw like a wizard. I wish I had kept a few of those drawings.

In those days they didn't have social promotions so of course he flunked. But it didn't bother him.

Back then the teachers just left him alone. Today his parents would probably be in prison.

My son and his family were recently on a trip home from Turks and Caicos and had to connect in Charlotte, NC to go through customs. While waiting, my grandsons (5 & 3) saw photos of prohibited items to have in your bags. The oldest one was very impressed with the pictures of the various weapons and kept saying ooh, Max look at those. He finally said very loudly “Mommy do we have those in our bags?” My DIL about died.
