A trio of leading US senators on Tuesday warned Egypt that the risk of a "disastrous" rupture in ties had "rarely been greater"

Yeah, post-Mubarak Egypt does not consider a rupture in ties with the US to be "disastrous". Obama and Clinton threw a loyal ally to the wolves and cheered the rise of an Egyptian government that contains people devoted to the destruction of the US and Israel.

The military in Egypt would rather rupture the ties with the USA and lose tourism and US aid than they would lose power. Look throughout the region. Pakistan declares solidarity with Iran against an Israeli attack. Kuwait elects an Islamist legislature. The Maldives overthrow an elected, moderate leader to resume ties with Somalia. And that’s all in the last week.

We are not being given the magnitude of the Islamist Winter nor are we being told the implications for America.
