He was a good man and did many wonderful things for the country.

GWB will never be forgiven for the Patriot Act, Medicare Part D, No Child Left Behind, the 2008 bank bailouts, spending a trillion dollars to replace Saddam Hussein with another Saddam Hussein, or allowing Alan Greenspan to blow up an immense Housing Bubble to replace the imploding Internet Bubble and save his 2004 reelection campaign. All of these things laid the groundwork for Obama to not only win office, but take us onward toward a fascist state at warp speed.

On the other hand, when he said the Pledge of Allegiance he seemed to actually mean it - which is far more than can be said for the current incumbent. I'll give him credit for that.

That was a sensible post, but I’m sick of people who make a habit of knocking Bush on this forum.

His failures stemmed more from this loyalty and optimism that from the traitorous feelings Obama has.

I’m more on the Ron Paul side on nation building but Bush actually believed that muslims were good people who just needed to be shown democracy. He was wrong and we know better now.

I didn’t agree either on the things you mentioned but to entirely negate the good things he did is wrong also.

And why must we dwell on it here? It just plays into the hands of Obama.
