And then there were three and a half minds left campaigning for the Republican presidential nomination: Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum and Ron Paul.
Hosted by CNN's John King at the North Charleston Coliseum.
Was that Fred Thompson in the audience or am I having another flashback?
It was Romney’s one pleasant moment all evening, but it appears to have slipped right by Santorum (the humor gene is lacking, I suspect).
That's right..they were actually seperated twice. Newt finally threw in the towel as he well should have. IMO. The woman is a bancheeee!
Indeed, Newt’s the most formidable to face The Wan. Rick’s a whiny kid, Mitt’s (another) empty suit, and RuPaul...well, no need for words. Newt’s that inspiring teacher many of us remember, respected and were lucky enough to have.
BTW it's gin for me tonight! :)
I noticed that. This man can't just "be himself" because he HAS no self. And knowing Perry, he'll be calling him out on Main Street tomorrow for stealing his talking points.
I noticed that also, glad that others did too.
Mitt gives Santo a pat on the back about needing 25 more votes in Iowa. Some one said up thread that Mittens is afraid of Santorum implosion. He or she could be correct. Myth needs the votes to stay split.
RUH ROH Newt amnesty question....
Romney had a good answer on what he would do differently in the campaign..... “work harder to get 35 more votes in Iowa”. Diffuses the Iowa controversy and shows a good sense of humor and humility. Then he did what the others should do.... GO AFTER OBAMA !!!!!
Paul is being more reasonable tonite than usual. His free trade answer was the best of the group. Wow. Never thought I’d say that.
Cristie: I absolutely agree that Mr.Newt is winning this surprisingly easily given the breaking news of the day and the huge pressure.
Are you supporting my assertion that conservatives have no good choice on that stage? Because that is my position though I will support whoever runs against the prince.
He stated he does think intellectual property needs to be protected. He stated he thinks this bill is over the top and he doesn’t support it.
Then you post that you guess he’s fine with it.
What would you base that comment on?
No hate. Just disappointment. For a while, I was actually a Santorum supporter. I feel that in tonight's debate, Santorum has chosen to focus on viciously attacking his Republican opponents as opposed to attacking Obama. Also, he comes across as smarmy, self-serving and whiny. I can now see why the voters of Pennsylvania handed him a landslide loss.
Your tagline hasn’t caught up with recent news.
It is boring because the only great candidate left the race today.
Santorum - SOPA and Tax Return responses were horrible. Who did his makeup tonite. Shiny forehead.
“I love Sarah and JimRob for what they do.. but, I make up my own mind.”
I made no mention of your mind or of what or how it is made up. I used them as examples of people I think everyone would acknowledge would like to see a conservative win. Since you don’t know me or I you, it was merely a common point of reference. Use it how you will.
