..even though we are Santorum supporters here, and I expected the attacks on Newt by the establishment GOP, but I can't understand Rush and others simplistically going after him for "attacking capitalism"

Maybe I have the history wrong, but didn't somebody else very famous go after the dark side of unfettered capitalism and robber barons--someone named Theodore Roosevelt?

Hannity said he hopes he drops the Bain attacks as well coming into SC. Supposedly, he told Hannity he is only doing it to slow Romney down but at this point, it is making people uncomfortable. Not sure what the speech will be about at 9am.

Rush is right, Newt was attacking Mitt from the left, in my opinion to run interference for Huntsman and try to get a surprise showing out of Jon in NH, thus weakening Romney. I would still pick Newt over Mitt anyday, but I don’t see anything wrong with Rush’s analysis, other than the fact that I come to a different conclusion on his motives. We will see if the Bain attacks continue in SC, but if the attacks end, I would bet my house that the motive was to run interference for Huntsman. Otherwise, why would Newt have even campaigned in NH? He had no chance or need to spend the money and resources.
