Jim DeMint: Romney will win South Carolina
The Washington Examiner's Beltway Confidential ^ | January 10, 2012 | Charlie Spiering

Posted on 01/10/2012 11:07:04 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

On Mark Levin's radio show this evening, conservative Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina predicted that Republican frontrunner Romney would win the state in the upcoming Presidential primary.

"I think Romney's going to win here," said DeMint, "I think that some of the other that might have had an advantage here have really crossed ways with some Republicans as they've criticized free enterprise concepts." DeMint said, clearly referencing Jon Huntsman, Rick Perry and Newt Gingrich's recent attacks on Romney's record at Bain capital.

Demint added that he liked Romney's acceptance speech tonight, noting that, "He’s hitting a lot of the hot buttons for me about balancing the budget, and frankly I’m a little concerned about the few Republicans who have criticized some of what I consider free market principles here,” DeMint said.

DeMint said he was not going to endorse a candidate yet, because he wanted to focus on the Senate.

"I want to help deliver a conservative Senate, otherwise it doesn’t matter who is in the White House.” he said.

That’s the best non endorsement of an endorsement I’ve seen yet. Thanks for nothing, Jim. So disappointed in SC. The tea party embraced that state, and look what they get in return.

This ass just lost me,Romney is John Kerry in Disguise.
We are Screwed, might as well join the Obama Train Not only is he going to win, he will have a Mandate to implement his Communist Regime, thats Right I am Talking Landslide.
Demint liked Romneys speech, that guy is sick, just because Romney raises his Voice he still comes across as Arrogant and as an Elitist just like Kerry.

“McCain and Huckabee never did anything to Romney”

Beg to differ. Read this

http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/08037/855056-176.stm

This circus ended before 2:00 PM EST on Super Tuesday, 2008. From that moment until the last pol closed that day, the media was blasting the news that “Romney Lost WV”. There is NO WAY this “convention” could have been pulled off without the consent of the RNC.

PS...The WV GOP has since decided to go back to its normal primary election.

I like DeMint, BUT I wonder if Romney’s PAC gave him a chunk of cash like they did the governor?

Rather than instruct me to do something.

Show this Texan what it is, that you want me to see.

Have a nice day.

Welcome to the United Soviet States of America..where the Pravda State Media “vet” the candidates to the pleasure and needs of the RinoCrat UniParty.

This “election” will be a non-election...featuring the state approved “candidates”-whose only distinction is whether they are black or white.

If you picked Romney over McCain, wouldn’t you pick Romney over Obama? Romney is a moderate conservative. He is also an able and decent man.

Mitt Romney is like Obama.

You cannot listen to what he says, you have to watch what he has done.

Romney is a liberal.

DeMint should know better then to fall for Romney’s “new” self. Or maybe he does know better and is a part of the problem.

Milt Rominy is not a ‘decent man’. He is a duplicitous, lying, friend of murder for convenience. BTW, are you a Mormon? ... That would explain your blatant lying for Milt at Freerepublic.

Yanking defeat from the jaws of victory: Just like when principled Republicans went with Perot and gave Clinton the presidency.

So says the self righteous jerk...

I'm not a Mormon, but if Mitt wins the nomination.. I will support him... I really don't care about the candidates religion..
