In breaking news this afternoon, a Georgia woman is claiming that she had a 13-year affair with Herman Cain. She says she has documents (whatever they might be) which can back it up. In what can only be described as the guiltiest-looking no-comment statement in the history of politics, Cain’s lawyer offered this absurd response (especially hilarious parts in bold):

One of two things is true about this statement. Either Mr. Cain and his attorney are basing their views on what is an appropriate subject of media scrutiny for political candidates on the way politics work on another planet (perhaps another galaxy, even), or they are basically trying to telegraph to us that he completely did it. After following Cain’s campaign for the last several months, I would say either is equally likely. After all, basically the only reason a Presidential candidate would take a principled stand against admitting or denying that they had a multi-year affair on the woman to whom they are still married is if they have some principled objection to lying about having completely done it. And if that wasn’t the intended message, then Cain’s communications operation is even worse than we thought – which is really saying something.

Did you look at the facts or did the let the media and press lead you around by your nose?
That's provably what left wingers do. Perhaps people shouldn't get so emotionally invested in a candidate with no record at all and with no background check and no vetting.
Cain's backers have constantly had to defend not just sexual harassment charges, not just an affair but bungling foreign policy,9-9-9, abortion, gun rights and border security all while telling us Cain will hire great advisers so we should vote for him.
Perhaps it's time to reevaluate actual records of achievement in governing.
It appears Perry and Mitt are the clean ones as far as fidelity goes. Only one of those is pro gun, pro life, ex military with a sterling record of job creation and a real plan for dismantling Washington DC and returning power to the states and the citizens.
Not only believe the liberal media but adopt their tactics.
If it were from Cain smear central she’d be a white, blonde, bombshell.... They can afford better than that for a smear job.

I like Cain. I hope this isn't true. I cannot possibly be the only guy who has been absolutely faithful to my wife for multiple decades. But whatever, the case is with Cain, we cannot allow Obama and Clinton to become the standards of American morality.

And yet Cain already admitted being friends with her. Further, his stated explanation for why she had his phone number is because he was supporting her financially? If she is such a piece of trash, why was Cain friends with her and why was he giving her financial assistance? What the heck is he doing hanging around this seedy woman? Herman's own explanation will result in more questions than it answered.

Facts..... is it 4 or 5 women that have accused him of sexual harassment? And now one accusing him of an affair (so far). Those are facts. Good thing he didn’t pick one that had money or she’d be less believable... ???

We can’t allow the media to decide the fitness of the candidate. If the American people decide Cain’s having an affair is something they can’t forgive, fine - I trust them and accept their judgment.
Was this put out there by the GOP? They just can’t stand to have anyone get ahead of their little RINO pets. They’re doing the same to Cain as they did to Palin. They shut her up too, remember.
Cain certainly had his choice of hundreds of women ~ and you are not seeing hundreds of women coming forward and complaining ~ just financially damaged women, or those who are into filing sex harrassment cases.
I see a pattern.

Facts.... he left his CEO spot with the restaurant lobby group, and then they settled with at least one of the women after he was gone. Is that right?

If Palin ran, right now Glen Rice would be on TV telling about his sexual affair with her. And many here would be saying GO NEWT!
