Polls: Gingrich Grows on GOP Voters (Gingrich now in Second in Several Polls)
The Wall Street Journal ^ | 11-11-11 | Mary Lu Carnevale

Two polls out Friday show former House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s campaign gaining traction. And both polls show there’s plenty of room for the race to change dramatically: 17% of respondents are undecided.

A McClatchy-Marist poll of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents finds that Mitt Romney’s poll numbers remain steady – he generally garners the support of about a quarter of the Republican and Republican-leaning voters. That puts him in the lead, with Mr. Gingrich in second and former front-runner Herman Cain close behind.

By the numbers: Mr. Romney, 23%; Mr. Gingrich, 19%; Mr. Cain, 17%;Texas Rep. Ron Paul 10%; Texas Gov. Rick Perry, 8%, and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, 5%. Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum got 1% apiece.

Sucks worse to be an ignorant, gullible Newt supporter.

I wonder if his eyebrows will get as cool-looking by 2024 as RP’s are now.

Newt screwed us as speaker, and he would kill us as president.

Doesn’t suck nearly as much as 4 more years of Obama. Newt will kick his ass 3 ways to Sunday in the debates.

You can take that to the bank.

I like Cain and Newt. I would prefer Cain at the top to keep Newt in line, but I know Newt would need to help Cain a lot.

A lot of us think of them as a team already and that each would pick the other as their VP. I’m ok with that. What conserns me is what if Cain isn’t Newt’s pick. Who might Newt pick?

Newt will shove us into tyranny as surely as Obama will.

There is only minimal ideological difference between Newt and Baraq.

Ok. So Newt is not your guy. But Geez, have you lost all common sense?

No, I haven’t lost anything.

Please learn about Newt, whom you know not, before posting anything more. You owe it to your children and grandchildren.

He isn’t who you think he is.

I know he is not Obama. Since you are so learned, please inform us all. It is your duty.

Good question.

It would certainly make sense for him to pick Cain.

I agree they are a good team. In either order.

“Obama and the vicious Dems with the full support of the corrupt MSM would eat Gingrich alive!”

A serious canididate for serious times. Velvet-tongued Gingrich will not let anyone to eat him alive. Newt can dish it out as well as he can take it, has little fear, thinks on his feet and he isn’t a political virgin.

It’ll come down to a three way race: Romney, Gingrich and Cain. History favors Romney.

Romney 40%, Gingrich & Cain at 25%, Paul at 10%. Gingrich & Cain flip a coin on stage at convention for top billing & join forces for the win.

Hey, Newt Gingrich has some flaws.

But here's a clue: they all do.

This whole process is about looking at the candidates objectively, recognizing that they all have strengths and weaknesses, and deciding who on balance would make the best President.

Those who lives became hopelessly bound up in an emotional relationship with St. Sarah, and who now perhaps are doing the same with Citizen Cain, are people with whom I just don't think I can have a rational discussion.

Newt is a BS Artist with a million word vocabulary, a hundred thousand dollar jewelery line of credit, carbon foot prints on his back and a used sofa that he and Nancy Pelosi sat on...... Newt is now vying for the right-wing radical votes that he so condemned via Paul Ryan six months ago and so much baggage from the past he'd need his own Public Storage warehouse.

Now tell me he's not a RINO.
