“Thats a funny comment, but oh so true.”
Same effect as Perry had nationally.
I make fun of Perry, but some 15 years ago I drove down the Mississippi River delta...which goes about 100 miles downstream from New Orleans. I didn’t know what to expect, but I was totally blown away by the number of helicopter bases there. They support off-shore drilling (take a look at the Mississippi Delta and you’ll see why the helicopters are based there). This is VERY SERIOUS business. Perry may be a jerk and corrupt (had to get that in), but he has been rock-solid regarding energy, Gulf drilling, and global warming. He doesn’t just speak for Texas on those subjects, he’s speaking for some of the best-paying jobs in LA, and they appreciate that.
So I’d love him to be Cain’s Energy Secretary, a job where a ‘heart’ is not needed (and a job that gets him out of Texas).
America would be a better place if it were run as Perry’s Texas. No doubt. I voted with my feet.
If the vote were between Perry and Obama, I would wholeheartedly support Perry. But until then, I believe that Herman Cain is the best candidate.
