saw this when I was a young child:
get US out of the UN!
Ah, that brings back memories...
When I was in the 5th grade in Albuquerque in the late 1960s I was doing one of the 'coins for UNICEF' collections (which the schools tasked us kiddies to do). I'd knock on people' doors and hold out my little jar for the UNICEF collection and get coins, or 'no thank-you's'. I remember knocking on one lady's door (I think she was in her mid-twenties or early thirties), and she opened it and started lecturing me on how messed up the United Nations was, and how we shouldn't give them any money. I remember thinking, 'Gee Lady, I'm just collecting some coins ...'
I wish I could go back in my time machine and tell her, 'Yes lady, you were right - the United Nations were skunks back in the 1960s, and they are even more odious in 2011'....
I think it was pretty perceptive of her, at that time, to have recognized the United Nations as an evil organization given the complete ownership of the Major Media and Public Schools on the transmission of information - and their consistent theme song was that the United Nations was wonderful. That remains their theme-song today, but at least we have other information outlets that tell us otherwise - that the United Nations just exists to provide subsidies to world-wide government hacks so they can feed their addictions to prostitutes and high-frills living; as well as funding blue helmeted rapists throughout the world...
