Remember this about Sarah Palin, she's got the media running to her with every move she makes. Doesn't matter if she announces on a "dinky" radio show or if she announces on national television in prime time. She will generate a media frenzy all the same. Also, I think she might be taking a bit of personal satisfaction in making her announcement on a local radio show as opposed to sucking up to the media elite and doing it on their terms.

Others question her making the announcement on a Friday as it leads into the weekend and her announcement might be "old news" by Monday morning. People, this campaign has over a year left to go and this campaign is going to be in the daily news cycle for many months to come! Once the campaign is in full swing, nobody is going to remember that Palin made her announcement on a Friday in the middle of September as opposed to a Monday or Tuesday.

I think a pre-weekend, low-key announcement is smart for Palin. She doesn't need a big splash of an announcement. Everybody already knows who she is. Let the shock of the announcement settle over the weekend and she can hit the ground running next week.

Agreed. Announcing on a local radio show, as oppossed to the MSM Marxist Media will have them howling’ like steppin on a dogs tail.

I can see it now.....I bet with this rumor the LSM are staging their reporters to Alaska. Sarah calls the radio show and announces, then.....nothing. No big press conference, no big rally. And the LSM are spending the weekend in Alaska looking for something to talk about!!
