You know you can’t prove a negative.
She said it and it’s up to her or her supporters to prove what she said is accurate.
That should be easy. All she has to do is prove that some woman told her the story she said the woman told her. In the mean time these asshat professors know that proving their challenge is also proving a negative.
Don’t think, much “thinking” went on when she made such a statement without any supporting evidence. Bachmann was probably listening to a ronpaul kook, whom pretended to be an innocent Tea Party person. I am sure Bachmann wishes she could put this back in the bottle.
I would prefer to consider Bachmann just impulsive, which considering the position she is striving for, can be damgerous on a global scale.
