Narcissists such as Barack Obama are not uncommon among politicians. Bill Clinton was similar to Obama in some ways but his fake 'Mayberry RFD' persona, that he could turn on and off at will, covered for him most of the time. Going back, I would guess that President John F. Kennedy was a narcissist, based on his then-unrevealed, reckless sexual escapades while serving as president. The point is that Obama is a dangerous narcissist because, unlike Clinton, who would change a bad policy if it would help his image or poll numbers (e.g. welfare reform) Obama is so arrogant that he simply will not budge on any issue. Oh, he'll make a big pretense of 'negotiating' (e.g. the debt ceiling deal) but in reality, he will get his way and simply doesn't care about the consequences for the country he purports to 'serve'. Barack Obama is dangerous on many fronts and his deeply ingrained and very powerful narcissism is a large part of the many failings that makes him dangerous, considering his position as POTUS. November 6, 2012 can't come soon enough for America.
