I was at the Iowa State Fair yesterday, there were Presidential candidates every 20 yards and no one cared. Sarah shows up and it’s like Elvis was walking the grounds. Did you see her on Hannity last night? You were looking at the next President of the United States. Take into consideration that she had been out in the hot sun all day shaking hands and signing autographs and still looked great and had plenty of energy for the Hannity interview. Real people just gravitate to this woman, I’m sure the elites cannot understand why. My guess is that she announces at the Tea Party rally on Labor Day. At that point see my tagline.

Palin resigned to run for President, it was obvious to some of us then and that will be the answer to the question when she is officially running.

A terrible miscalculation on her part.

Bachmann and Perry seem to be able to run and hold office.

The Libturds will rue the day when the resignation decision was even easier with all the frivolous lawsuits.

Unfortunately, I think they won because of this. I believe she would have been much more formidable if she had stayed and fought.

The overwhelming number of devout Christians will vote for Governor Palin, the percentage will be huge, massive, your lame mutterings trying to say that Christians won’t vote for her is a pretty nasty little, unchristian lie.

>>I think a lot of people underestimate the number of people who will not vote for a woman.<<

While I’m sure there are many people who would never vote for a woman for President, including many women by the way, consider, too, the good possibility that a good number of women will vote for a female candidate just to have voted the first one into the office of President, regardless how they feel about politics.

This is what scares the Left. They have no idea how many women will actually do that. Furthermore, once a woman is nominated, liberal commentators will risk driving women to vote for her with every sneering remark they make. That’s why the attacks are so vicious now. They won’t play so well during the general election campaign.

we’ll see who is right. She resigned to run for president. Running a campaign from AK is hard enough and being a sitting governor at the same time—with AK’s ethics law making essentially impossible? lol It will be interesting to see Rick Perry be gov and texas and run for president. There will be someone else down there doing the heavy lifting and effectively telling Perry what to do. Maybe it will work out for TX if the people who are doing that can do it right. Given Perry’s wobbles on conservatives issues (gardasil etc) it may even go better for TX that he is gone a lot. But he is better than Mitt.

Since you were there let me ask a question.

From watching some of the videos and still photos of the crowds surrounding Gov. Palin, I thought I saw an overwhelming number of happy faces, a greater percentage than around other candidates. Was this consistent with what you experienced?

Bachmann and Perry seem to be able to run and hold office.

Of course, they are not Governors in Hawaii or Alaska, they are here in the contiguous United States, Bachmann doesn't do anything outside of campaigning anyway, she merely votes occasionally.

My guess is that she announces at the Tea Party rally on Labor Day.

My guess too....I'll be there in Waukee IA. It's getting difficult to get a room there, so now's the time. Maybe we'll get to actually be in attendance when history is made and the first step taken to take America back from the socialist, muslim, communist, narcicistic, failure that is the current regime.

Maybe, but I doubt it. We would have been reading article after article about each and every allegation, and her enemies, political and otherwise, would have poured the coals to the fire until the day she finally announced she was running. But by that time she wouldn’t have had a chance, because if enough dirt is thrown, some of it inevitably sticks.

Note that none of this has happened since she resigned, and that all of the bogus lawsuits have disappeared from view. Furthermor, if they try it again if she’s nominated, they’ll have already been outed as operatives who previously manufactured allegations for political purposes, so they’ll be taken far less seriously.

All in all, it quite possibly was an excellent political maneuver on her part.

By the way, I’m one of those who was always worrying about her screechy voice and was wishing she’d get some voice coaching. Anyone else notice how her voice has modulated lately?

You know, maybe it’s because it was such a gloomy week all around with England burning and the stock market tanking, but that was exactly my reaction too. She comes across as the proverbial “breath of fresh air.” For all the worrying about her electability, normal people seem to sincerely like her and be happy to be around her.

“A Breath of Fresh Air Blows into DC” would be a fine headline to be reading on Inauguration Day.

The Palin strategy is absolutely brilliant. She is able to command a lot of attention while she “sits on the fence”.

She's completely rewriting the book on how to run. Just watch her!

Let's say Gov Palin hadn't resigned. Let's say she stayed in Alaska to watch her state, office and political career continued to be under assault (with no help from Republican establishment). What could have been the consequences for the Country?

No 63 seat gain in the house.

Far less Tea Party influence with our current Government.

Potentially former Rep. Michele Bachmann.

Potentially a Texas Governor named Hutchison and no Perry Presidential campaign.

What I see posted here on a regular basis, from a handful of Bachmann and Perry supporters, are attacks against anything Palin, using the Liberal talking points of calling her a “quitter”, “not going to run” or (my personal favorite) “she will guarantee an Obama reelection”.

What are you Perry and Bachmann supporters so afraid of? Shouldn't we have an inclusive primary system in order to have a competition, resulting in the strongest nominee possible? Or, should we exclude those we don't prefer and see how successful our nominee will be when running against both a Democrat and Third Party opponent?

Yes agreed, hoping Governor Palin will toss her hat in the ring.

With one small caveat:

If she’s decided not to run, she should say so. Now. And let us get on with things.

Provided she is in fact running, this wait is not hurting anything. Helping, in fact.

Just look at where the attention is, even on this weekend.

It’s very difficult for me to *sit on saved money*!
Too many needs for it, but I’ve held it for her.

Come on, SARAH!!!!
