It is insane to extend UI benefits. This is already part of the problem. I have a buddy in California who didn’t even start looking for work until his benefits were almost exhausted. He eventually had to take a job below his “status”, but at least he’s now getting a paycheque. He could have had the same job within a week of being unemployed, but knew he didn’t have to make the decision immediately and then the government kept extending the benefits. Subsidize unemployment and you will get more unemployment.
