Alan West flinched in the clinch. He is not material for leadership.
watching
He has pissed me off. I guess he got “bought”.
YEARS IN THE MAKING, THERE ALL IN ON IT AND WE ARE JUST WAKING UP TO IT AND IT COULD BE TO LATE.
great points, especially this:
“If Obama can cut a deal that gets him past the election, then he removes out-of-control spending and debt as an election issue.”
i think i misunderstood before, about a temporary deal.
and if the inevitable credit downgrade occurs before the election, it should make your plan work even better
agreed!!!
i’m an American first. not GOP or even Tea party.
i want the budget balanced NOW, and us to start paying off the debt.
just as ANY ordinary WORKING American has to do.
My child shouldn’t pay for Obama’s debt, redistributing OUR money!
$17 trillion is nothing compared to the over $100 trillion owed is unfunded liabilities over the next 20 or so years (maybe longer). Our national debt is going asymptotic and there’s nothing we can really do to stop it. We’ve had many chances in the past but the train wreck is not if, but only when. We’ll probably end up collapsing the whole global financial system at this rate.
I agree with you. Just send the CCB back to the Senate and let hairy table it again. Then go home.
Whatever “pain” comes now from fiscal/economic sanity is less than the pain later that comes from putting off the reckoning. You obviously prefer less pain now and more pain later. I am sorry about that. Such people will always vote for an apparent benefit today regardless of the obvious and unavoidable much weightier cost tomorrow or next week. A large portion of humanity cannot even imagine tomorrow. For them everything after they go to sleep tonight is mythical and irrelevant.
