one God, no intermediaries (prophets?), no helpers (angels?), no translators (Rabbis?), no intercessors (Levitical priests?), no split shifts (Isaiah 48), no messengers (angels and prophets?), no relatives (Ex 4:22, Isaiah 54, et al?), no hanging out in human or animal or plant bodily form (Gen 18).

Smell test? This discussion demonstrates that in this continuing debate it all depends who’s doing the smelling and whether ex post facto stiffs can be relied upon. If they can be, then what is called the “New Testament” is likewise open to new sniffing and a “Newer Improved Testament” and then an “Even Newer and More Improved Testament,” etc could and should logically be in the offing.
