Big crowds are being urged to flood the openings of The Undefeated, the movie about former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's political rise, the latest indication that the 2008 vice presidential nominee is still looking for a signal from the public that it wants her to run for president.
In a blast email, "Team Sarah" asked supporters to start buying tickets to premiers in cities like Indianapolis, Orlando and Phoenix. "You can be the spark that becomes a grassroots revolution helping to ignite, solidify, inform, and unify Americans around the values that Sarah Palin represents, and, frankly, it isn't that terribly hard!," said the email. "Team Sarah wants to see "The Undefeated" become a BIG success and we are treating this like OPENING DAY in a long battle to promote the VALUES we see that Sarah Palin represents! But, we need to ACT! Please don't waste time."
Palin has been showing the movie in Iowa and a few other places, but supporters feel that having a successful opening will prove that she remains politically relevant and influence her decision to run for the White House.
A message to all members of Team Sarah:

” She will make history with this unconventional campaign.”
Uh....no.... but she will make BIG money ;-)

Well, I started out in that place, sort of, though it is a bit more complex than that. But I have finally found the applicability language in the statute, in section AS 39.52.910, which spells out that the Ethics Act only applies to a state officer, not a former state officer, unless under a specific exemption (carve-out), such as the one in AS 39.52.250.
So now that means that for your speeding analogy, we stared out not being sure where the code said it, but every legal professional operating in the jurisdiction understood you had to be caught speeding while actually in the car and driving, and not after the fact, that while you might get the actual ticket later, your exposure for being caught speeding only lasted as long as you were actually driving, and was not something where the police could revisit a particular driving episode to dredge up new infractions years or decades later. It just made sense as good policy, and matched up nicely with the case law, where the only kind of case you can find is people being caught speeding while driving and not afterward.
Then I actually found the part of the code that says, yep, this only applies if you’re actually driving. Which explains all the better why the case law doesn’t have any examples of being caught speeding while walking on the sidewalk, though a reasonable mind could deduce that without the language of the statute. Because that’s just not how it works. And now we know why, both in terms of the language, and in terms of common sense.
Part of the movie's narration is done via excerpts from the audiobook version of Going Rogue, written and read by Sarah Palin.

You know I just responded to a post you made on another thread that essentially implied that releasing a DVD of “Undefeated” at Walmart was the kiss of death. Now I see you again downplaying a film that has extremely limited distribution and ignore the realities of a conservative market that constantly screams “home theater.”
The fact is as I check out some of your prior posts is that your proclaimed industry ties/experience and “Atlas Shrugged”/IMDB references show you to be a supporter of the old school media distribution system that always stymies conservative media and entertainment.
Screw the conventional media! We are in the age of distribution at the click of a button. Your contacts apparently remain in the old media realm and thus are becoming useless in the war against liberal media and it’s inherent “by any means necessary” model.
Yes, Hollywood is changing. But anytime someone doesn't post a) production costs and b) sales info, I'm suspicious. It might be a great movie, but that shrieks to me "won't make money."
Now, all Bannon's previous movies were released through Citizens United, which has its own distribution. But at CPAC, they were virtually giving the things away.
All this keeps coming down to is this (so far) unsupported faith that Palin is running and that she is doing it "in an unprecedented fashion." Well, no. There are certain things that you have to do whether in Hollywood or in politics. In Hollywood, you have to reach the broadest audience possible, which means theatrical release. This CAN be strategic and targeted ("Slum Dog Millionaire"), and every once in a while a movie can win an Oscar and then have a second life. But you can count those on one hand and it's NEVER the strategy---it's always an afterthought, "nice to have." As for politicians, I've been at the grassroots level for 10 years, around the edges for another 10 before that, and I've never seen any candidate do squat who didn't have a significant organization that was tied into one of the major parties.
Same in music. Yes, you can every once in a while point to a Justin Bieber who breaks through on youtube. But for the most part, those aren't the guys filling the stadiums.
For those lurkers who might be tempted to be fooled by the troll, here is an interview with Bannon (by National Review's Kathryn Lopez) which takes out the loaded phrases of our good troll, rodeo-mamma.
Bannon's production company bore all the costs and had complete editorial control. All that was obtained from Palin was a release to contact people from her administration.
Bannon also points out that one of the sources was the first half of Going Rogue. But the other source "was Sarah from Alaska, written by CBS correspondent Scott Conroy and the Daily Beast s Shushannah Walshe who certainly are neither ideologues nor 'Palinistas,' yet who wrote a gripping story of her rise from obscurity."
Again, judging from your reaction to Sarah, you are either a paid disruptor or a "4" on a good day.
Too bad you FAILED so miserably. The movie's going to wider distribution based on this weekend's attendance.
Heh heh heh!
Cheers!
Much more than trolling conservative sites for pennies per 1000 clicks, eh?
And wipe the Cheetos off of your fingers before you post any more, your keyboard is disgusting.
Cheers!
