Thanks for the ping/post/info. BUMP for the 6th Annual Texas Cowboy Memorial Shoot! (one of these years, I hope to be there)
I have been reading the threads about the shoot and have not commented. All is well and I will be cooking. The last time I cooked I spent to much time cooking and not enough time shooting. This time the following is what I had in mind.
I will skip the breakfast and drive from my home in Salado straight to the shoot sight. Set up my gear for cooking and then start shooting when the Freeper Gang arrives. About an hour before time to eat I will fire up the pit and cook. This time I will have BBQ chicken and and Brisket.
My local BBQ man makes some great stuff and I will pick this up from him and chill it on ice and just warm it up to serve.
I will also be bringing some Bambi Burgers (actually only half Bambi and the other half beef otherwise it is too dry) and I will be cooking these. I shall also have some hot dogs to throw on the fire.
If a couple of people could bring some side dishes it would be good, i.e. potato salad, salad, beans or what ever. It makes it easier for me to just concentrate on getting the meat heated and or cooked.
If anyone does not like Bambie burgers I will also bring some just plain beef ones to cook.
Looking forward to seeing good people again this year.

I will be bringing a few toys that everyone is welcome to shoot, with one exception. Eaker can not shoot the M1 Garand, :)

It is going to be tough, likely I will just be there in spirit, as I will send some donor ammo if I cannot fire it myself.
Too many kids with multiple activities that weekend.
My oldest is on the high school dance team and football season is tough for anything.
