Exactly. A Freudian slip. He is longing for the days when he was seriously alluded to as ‘some kind of god’, and screaming fans fainted in his presence. He knows it’s gone downhill on skids, and ‘12 is not going to be a cakewalk. Most likely he will lose, and lose big.
So yes, he wishes it was still 2008. Who can blame him?
