The dress had a redingote effect---with an underskirt appliqued with lace.
The bodice was of ivory satin, reminiscent of Victorian traditions of corsetry -- a hallmark that Alexander McQueen's Creative Director Sarah Burton loves.
The dress used hand-cut English lace w/ French Chantilly lace on bodice and skirt.
Kate wore soft veiling edged with lace and a borrowed Cartier tiara that once belonged to the late Queen Mother who gave it to Queen Elizabeth on her 18th birthday.
Hopefully this ends the strapless wedding gown fad.
Piers Morgan is nothing but a blatant blowhard, spotlight hog and ballsy opportunist. And apparently the ratings for his CNN show prove that more and more each day.
Sawyer ? Walters ? Tina Brown ? Ugh!! Trashy libs.
Walters, cooing over Elton John and his husband and their baby .. deargod.
They, the media and libs have tragically all succeeded in totally corrupting our culture and transforming depravity
into normalcy. It took them a couple of decades, but they have sadly and gradually trashed the traditions they always intended to conquer.
Lord, help us .. save us.
I sense also too, it is a call for Christians everywhere to take their faith in Jesus serously, as the Muslims do theirs.
Awwwww...Stu Varney just told Bill H. he was just thrilled and had tears in his eyes.
So, you’re in one of the choirs? Absolutely magnificent! My goodness, words just do not do y’all justice. Be sure to look at the videos and let us know which one you are.
You did extremely well today.
Well, Shep has, I am sure, dreamed of being queen many, many times.
Maybe Gretchen talked her way into a wedding invitation. :)
CLASS, CLASS, CLASS!! This couple has it. Everything was gorgeous. Kate’s gown was stunning in it’s simplicity. LOVE the veil. I’m not a fan of tiaras but the one she chose worked beautifully.
This couple look like two equal adults ready to take on their new life together.
Although pretty as well, Pippi can’t hold a candle to Kate.
However, I couldn't help but thinking about the Prince's deceitful father when he took his vows that he never had any intention of obeying. It seems like this couple do love each and intend to make the marriage work.
How amazing! Report for the peasants, when you can, please .. ;)
I find it a bit interesting that the monarchy is relatively more popular in the poor north of England, whilst more unpopular in the more affluent areas in the south. It’s sort of the opposite of America geographically I suppose, but the same phenomenon.
The peons/farmers/miners have a natural appreciation for traditional values, whilst the rich urban socialists wants everything overturned.
I will post an article about John Cleese later today that illustrates the bloody cognitive dissonance of these people. He hates how London is not English anymore, yet support the liberal democrats. duh. :P
Cheers and hope you enjoy the day :)
Sorry. I didn’t see any tag.
Do you know if interested observers will be able to purchase the music from this wedding? I know—crash commercialism. But it was SO beautiful!
I guess it is some what comforting,to find we are not alone.
It’s hard for any bride to look anything but beautiful for the most part. But I thought Kate lowplayed her role....looked matronly to me...Her hair could have been arranged more regal as well.

That’s why I watched the whole thing on TLC.
It is so sad that Princess Di didn’t lieve to see her son marry the beautiful Kate Middleton, now Princess Kate.
