Nonsense. PDF vs. Adobe CS files are irrelevent. Straight scans are one layer, by definition, because they're bitmaps with no innate object definitions. The only way to get multiple scan layers is to do multiple scans, and even then they aren't going to segregate themselves by subject matter, since all the scanner sees is undifferentiated bitmap data.
If you have scan layers, without or especially with subject matter content differentiation, you have deliberate assembly, which in this case means tampering, because the document has no structural justification for anything other than a straight scan.
I am a butt open novice compared to most with Adobe...but I have done enough to know that a scan is a flat scan...OCR be damned. This was last minute, shove it through forgery by some extremely smart people who want to keep it alive or extremely stupid aids...still do not cannot fathom which.
Keep fighting the good fight. I see that clear as day. I don’t know why others cannot. I guess too many anti-birther elites are more concerned about their egos.
Everyone should know by now that the established rules of science and physics don’t apply to Obama or his magically appearing documentation.

As a die-hard birther who has had multiple phone conversations with that kook Phil Berg, I think the jig is up. Must of the criticisms can be chalked up to human error and a crappy typewriter.
I began the day with high hopes for our side but must admit that they have been dashed. The guys whole story is very hinky but we are really chasing a dragon here and I, myself, have wasted a great deal of time and worry on the issue.
More than anything, I am pissed at this President’s snobby and elitist attitude towards the public in regards to this issue. He’s done nothing but play games and continues to laugh his ass off as he screws America at every turn.

Good thought, however touch-ups done in graphic programs are usually done to an existing element. In other words, if these were touch-ups, the text would most likely also exist in the main text layer. A close watching of the following video shows this is NOT the case:

There’s another important issue here which has not been addressed. The text is curved at the appropriate place at left. This makes no sense whatsoever for a document “constructed” by somebody typing in text. Who would first type in text, put it in a book, photograph it, then mix that curved graphic image with other (typed in) letters? Ignoring the enormous needless effort you would spend doing things, you couldn’t possibly get a good result that way.
It just makes no sense. No, the right explanation is the simple one: the layers were created by a software program trying to make sense of, and do OCR on, a scanned image.

Oh, gosh. Honestly, Obama has basically STOLEN a significant part of my time and attention from me this week (and previously, too) by not releasing this damn certificate about 2 years ago.
Honestly, I was thinking YESTERDAY about writing an article for the newspaper about the legitimacy of "birther" questions. I've spent hours today trying to sort out the truth from all of the fiction and speculation that's been flying around.

That is very interesting. Notice your layers have a number of over lap layers. The original has no over lapping at all
I would attribute that to mine being a scan of a printed version of the White House provided PDF which may be a 3rd or 4th generation scan of the original document. My scan settings may have also been different from the scan that was created for the original PDF.
notice the lines not even a trace of evidence anyplace on the paper. If that were possible I would have to say that is the best program ever made.
