Live thread: Wisconsin Supreme Court election - Prosser vs Kloppenburg

This election is important nationally too. If Kloppenburg is elected the Wisconsin mandate by the electorate in 2010 in this state will be negated by the WI Supreme Court and the unions will have won.

I live in a hardcore conservative area and discovered today that my Prosser yardsign was mutilated and thrown into one of my plantings.

Pray for Wisconsin and for Prosser's election!

from the facebook page:

“Just looked up the last Milwaukee county precinct to be reported. The two surrounding precinct went 128-35, 33-10 Prosser. It’s in the city of west allis, which is very conservative. Good news for Prosser.”

Prosser thanked all his workers profusely. He said that the election is certain to go to a recount. He added that he had written a rip-roaring victory speech and also had written a concession speech. But, he added, what he had not written was an IMPASSE speech.

He said that he was still in it, and that he would talk to all of them after he got some sleep. There was also some mention of “empty” precincts.

What?

Okay, have a look. If enough of it appears to check out (especially, the validity of allegations of City of Chicago cover-up) I'm going to put it into the Rumors section of Gulag Bound. Feel free to help, if you find anything. Please let me know, in addition to posting whatever you post, here.

It seems legit, but having to check it out. It may not have anything to do with Obama, for all I know right now. It could be someone's "wishful thinking." But the key appears to be with the plaintiffs, if this is true.

Prosser talked about how his campaign and he weathered a vicious attack and that there will probably be a recount.
Sounding like he won it but in subdued tones.

Prosser: I had a rip roaring victory speech. I also had a concession speech. I don’t have an impasse speech.

I was in a class in college with a guy who was a huge peacenik.

He even wore a kippah with a dove emblazoned upon it!

Not so far gone that he was in the Peace Now crowd, but still a huge leftie.

After September 11th, and in 2002-when the Palestinian savages really let loose on Israel-he became a die-hard conservative.

He even started defending Joe McCarthy!

Have no idea what his politics were after he graduated though.

What is posted on that blog was put here on FR yesterday as original FR reporting. It’s prolly where the blogger got it. He should have credited the source.

Read through the thread to get a sense of it. The mods and Jim Rob had a hand in getting it out there.

Yes, are you referring to the speech Bush gave to Congress 10 days after 9/11? If so, I agree. That was one speech I will never forget, either. I have been wanting to purchase it from C-Span but have not yet done so.

The Washington Post did a 10 part series on the speech a month or so after it was given - I have never seen such treatment of a speech by the media. The Wash Post treated it extremely well and wrote how it was conceived, written - the whole history of the speech. The series called it one of the best speeches of all time, etc. Heaped praise on it. Now, it is never mentioned in polite company.

This reminds me of the race in San Francisco where a distinguished, nonpartisan incumbent was defeated by Gerardo Sandoval, a radical, anti-American, open borders, incompetent wacko, after a concerted campaign by the left to politicize what had been an essentially apolitical race.

Yeah, I was one of those too. I remember my piece-of-mind letter to the solicitation letters of moveon folks right after I realized they were actually a pro-islamofascist communist enterprise! It sure shock them as I had spend good money on them for a while, but after a couple more back and forth they dropped me like a hot potato that was scorching them real bad!!! Ha, it was delicious as I was fuming at their disgusting treasonous behavior at the time.
