Dude, you are splitting hairs. Obama, in books published prior to the election, openly wrote about taking Islamic religious classes and going to Mosque for the 4 years he lived in Indonesia.

Did he then lie when he later said he wasn't raised Muslim? I don't think so. If a person spent only ages 6 to 10, 4 out of 18 years of his childhood, taking catechism classes and attending Sunday Mass, I don't think anyone would say he was raised Catholic. I don't see why similar reasoning wouldn't apply to someone like Obama, who only attended Mosque and Koran classes from ages 6 to 10.

As to statements about him being a practicing Muslim, the context makes it pretty clear he was talking about his actions as an adult. Seriously, who cares what a boy does between age 6 and 10?

At any rate, arguing about such semantics is a waste of time. Swing voters don't give a fig about whether Obama attended Mosque with his step father for 4 years as a child, and no one except die hard Obama opponents are going to care whether his later statements could be interpreted in a way that makes them inconsistent with this history.

If anything, harping on something this petty, and yes, arguing over what he did between ages 6 and 10 is extremely petty, will turn them off. So why don't you focus your attention on one of the many issues of substance that can actually defeat him in 2012?
