Trump you're a fool! Tycoon accused of discrediting GOP by suggesting Obama may be a Muslim

Donald Trump has been accused of discrediting the entire Republican party after wading into the ‘birther’ row about Barack Obama’s nationality.

The billionaire real estate tycoon and potential presidential candidate was told he looked 'a fool' for claiming Mr Obama might have been listed as a Muslim on his birth certificate.

He also suggested president may have duped the entire nation about where he was born in ‘one of the greatest scams of all time’.

In a deeply personal attack, he told Fox News presenter Bill O'Reilly that Mr Obama was a warmonger who ‘kisses everybody’s a**’.

The outburst drew sharp rebukes from leading Republicans and Democrats who said it was a mistake that would leave him marginalised.

‘He's falling into Barack Obama's trap,’ said former Bush White House deputy chief of staff Karl Rove.

‘Barack Obama wants Republicans to fall into this trap because he knows it discredits us with the vast majority of the American people when they do.’

Former George W Bush secretary Ari Fleischer added: ‘I think Donald Trump is making a fool of himself.

‘When you look at what he did, it is not presidential. You do not go around saying that our current president, who I don't agree with, is kissing people's a**.

‘It's just not the temperament people look up to in the Oval Office...it will not get him elected.’

Trump has hinted in recent weeks that he may run for president next year, although he made similar claims during the last two elections.

In a series of TV interviews with O'Reilly he has sought to make the birther controversy the focus of his ‘campaign’.

‘People have birth certificates, he (Mr Obama) doesn’t have a birth certificate. He may have one, but there is something on that birth certificate,’

These are the times when I almost believe those people who say the Republicans and Democrats are really the same party.

I applaud Trump for bringing the Proofer Movement into the limelight. But I'd never vote for him for POTUS.

At least somebody’s saying what they really think instead of the phony garbage we usually get. Kind of refreshing in a way, really.

I wonder what would happen if Trump said to Obama, “Mr. President, I will donate $x million to the charity of your choice if you produce a verfiable birth certificate.”

OBAMA: "...my Muslim faith."

STEPHANOPOLOUS: "You mean your Christian faith."

OBAMA: "What-ever."

Trump is just playing the casino percentages. More than 50% of Republicans believe Obama is a Muslim and wasn’t born in the USA.

Trump is just saying “show me the certificate”. Shouldn’t at least everyone from Missouri be saying the same thing?

Trumps not the fool on this one. I applaud the man. I hope he includes questioning the Obozo’s SSN numbers in his rants on the BC.

Nothing Trump says or doesn’t say can discredit or credit the Republican Party.

Please.

Trump is Trump and everybody understands that. And that’s the beauty of this thing. And why the LSM is all wee-weed up about it. Trump can say whatever he wants and the GOP pays no political price for it -— because, see above, Trump is Trump and everybody knows that.

The LSM is incredibly incensed that someone has dared defy their List of Topics About Which Anyone With An Audience Must Remain Silent.

That is all.

GW Bush’s press secretary calling someone a fool for raising a public issue? As John Wayne used to say in tHE movies, “THAT’LL BE THE DAY”.

“In a series of TV interviews with O’Reilly he has sought to make the birther controversy the focus of his ‘campaign’.”

Absolutely not true! Trump is very fluent on world economics (esp. wrt China and OPEC), and just threw the birther thing out there because it still needs to be addressed.

These Bush RINOs going after him are disgusting! Maybe it’s because Trump pointed out that if not for Bush screwing up so much, we probably wouldn’t have 0bama!

It doesn't matter to me if Trump is elected or not, the thing is, he is the only person, right now, in all of America, who has the cajones to shout out the truth. That may loose him a Karl Rove here and there but will gain him a whole Tea Party.

I would never have guessed that I would be respecting Trump like I have over the last couple of weeks. Heck, if he keeps this up I might even go gamble at one of his casinos.
