Do not underestimate the power to counter a “historic” president with a “historic” run of our own. Palin being a woman takes many of Obama’s “strengths” off the table and for every cry of racism the left utters the right can cry sexism. Yes it is low brow politics but it is how you diffuse one of your enemies greatest strengths....Gov Palin is a very smart politican to understand this concept. Sadly many on this thread are not politcally astute to see this....

I understand your point but it is, as you say, “low-brow politics” and I don’t care for that. Why cater to that ‘feminist’ silliness? The point is not to ‘win-at-all-costs’ but to win through ideas and integrity.
