Something tells me this will backfire badly against the Democrats, the President, and the unions. This wave of ginned up angst, abandonment of responsibility, and the attempt to strong-arm the tax-payers of state of Wisconsin will be remembered for a long time to come.
On Friday morning, my television and radio shows took calls from Wisconsin citizens, most of whom lived in Madison or very near, some of whom were teachers and more than willing to go along with the Governor's modest request. Though they didn't like the idea of what amounted to pay cuts, they weren't willing to send their state into chaos over the matter.

“both President Obama’s campaign organization as well as the Democratic National Committee”......notice the news coverage Does Not refer to this as Astroturf. Quite a bit different than the Tea Party coverage.

This separates the adults from the children, everyone has to bear the the pain fairly and work rogether to hold on to thier jobs and to do thier part to help the city recover. The children whine and the community activist and his union thugs come in as a second wave to fan the flames, something they planned on doing from the begining. Let them have thier fun, when the’re ready to board thier buses to go home ARREST THEM, FIND THIER AFFILIATIONS AND THIER RESIDENCIES AND POST IT FOR ALL TO SEE
I saw snippets (that's all I could tolerate) of a report that Rachel Maddow did that was mournful and sad about his life and death. Talk about creepy. It was like watching a tribute to Adolf Hitler or Mao Tse-Tung.

I agree totally but from the stand point of the Democrats they have no choice, in my opinion this is make or break with them. I’ll even wager that they are working furiously behind the scenes to try and workout some sort of compromise that they can call a victory even if they get nothing changed of significance. If they lose this they are sunk, a huge part of their funds will eventually dry up.

I think they are reacting to the backfiring, which evidenced itself in recent elections; it is all in the open now, and they insist we just shut up & pay.
