Usually you are unable to get FreepMail or pings because you are logged out for some reason.

If I get a blue screen of death on my computer, it sometimes logs me out, so I have to sign back in.

Look at the top of the forum page. If you are logged in, it should say “Sign Out” on the top right. Otherwise, there should be a link at the top you can click on to sign back in.

Or, if you see log in or register. You will need to log in. It happens to me after updates and browser cleanings.

I don't think I would have been able to post if I wasn't logged in. And yes I did go to the main page and logged back in with my password several times and it did nothing.

I think JimRob has tweaked something because he asked me try now and then reload.

I am now able to see my PINGS, but still not the MAIL or MY PREFERENCES.
