Top Senate Democrats are warning House Speaker-elect John Boehner they'll block any Republican effort to repeal President Barack Obama's health care overhaul.
Citing better Medicare prescription coverage and other changes in the new law, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and his top lieutenants say the overhaul "is too important to be treated as collateral damage in a partisan mission to repeal health care."
The letter says repeal would have "unintended consequences" for the part of the law that gradually closes the Medicare prescription drug coverage gap, as well as for other popular consumer benefits. Also signing the letter are Sens. Dick Durbin of Illinois, Charles Schumer of New York and Patty Murray of Washington.

Boehner should write a letter back and say “Make my day, PUNKS”!
there are no benefits. people can stay on their parent’s heath insurance until they are damn near 30. big deal. then there is the pre-existing illnesses thing. no one is signing up.
They can’t block its de-funding.
Boehner should say, “Shove it up your smelly Obama.”
I would bring up “Repeal” one time. After that, defund it and let it die. Then move on to the next item. Let the Democrats just sit there and take up space until the election takes place. When they are down to two representatives, maybe they’ll get it.
The repeal attempt is strictly for show, as BHO could veto any repeal even if it *did* pass...DEFUNDING is the only serious way to kill this evil monstrosity, at least for the present.
That’s fine. We’re aware it won’t get to Obama’s desk this time around, but let’s make Nelson, McCaskill, Webb, but let’s get head counts for all the “moderate” socialists ahead of their elections next year.
The MSM is working hard today for the commiecrat progressive party, aren’t they? BETTER Medicare prescription coverage under ObamaCare? LOL this is a lie from Reid to desperately try to appeal to the seniors.
I say let it get implemented now and in 2 years the crowds that will be streaming into DC will make the Tea Party rallys look like breakfast at the nursing home.
Get them on record voting against repeal then wrap it around their necks in 2012. In the meantime, strip all the money out of it. Let Obama’s death panelists work for nothing.
Boehner should simply not fund the implementation of Obamacare and watch the Senate Dems wail in impotent frustration.
looks like the battle lines are drawn. If they want to spend the next two years waging this health care reform repeal war, it’s fine with me.
AND if it is defeated.. modify the bill to just defund it.. and put it to the VOTE yet again.. for good measure..
There is enough votes in the HOUSE but the Senate NEEDS to go on record too..
NEXT.... eliminating funding for several federal government projects in the bureaucracy..
NO MORE OMNIBUS BILLS... put those democrats to work voting debating small bills..
Attkisson then gave attention to more pessimistic predictions that seniors will have to wait a longer time for medical care
“Benefits”?
the Democratic caucus is certifiably insane..needs removal to where they can no longer do damage to the Republic.
people can stay on their parents heath insurance until they are damn near 30

Which is absolutely ridiculous. I’m surprised they didn’t make it until they were 65. 26, why 26 years old? If they are in college and get a master’s degree, they would be around 24 years old. This is all about making the youth dependent on someone. First their parents, then big brother. They can’t have independent youth. That will screw up their Marxist plans.
My first thought was: Wah wah wah!
