Sarah Palin has indeed done more for the Republican party than anyone since Reagan. Now the elite of the GOP are turning against her. That's a huge mistake and they will soon find out.

AND, that’s why she’s a constant target of the left, the media and the ‘too comfortable’ GOP Washington establishment!!!

For those of us who remember the 1970’s, her experience is so closely mirroring that of Reagan it invokes a sense of deja vu.

From the constant media drumbeat of “too right-wing and unelectable” to embarrassment coming from children (remember Reagan’s daughter ripping him in public and Little Red Ronnie in his tights for the Joffrey Ballet?)

I would have thought by now DeMint and Palin would have had a phone conversation.

She sure has. The rest of the GOP cnadidates for 2012 would fit in a thimble compared to Palin.

I wish DeMint could replace McConnell, who is a loser. We need a fighter in the Senate—there are big fights ahead.
And Mitch “Lame Duck” McConnell is not up to it.

The turnover in the 2010 elections would not have happened without Sarah Palin and her energizing the Tea Party and the GOP base.

Wow,I guess even Demint doesn’t. Agree with you opinions that he was more influential than Sarah in the last election.

Now that has got to hurt!

Note to Jim DeMint:

There are millions of Republican voters who will NOT vote for Romney under any circumstances...

Find another candidate to support. PLEASE!!

The Country Club wing of the party turned against Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan, too.

Palin and DeMint are both at the top of my short list of who I want to see declare their intentions to campaign for POTUS. The qualifications I’m seeking, in order of importance to me, are:

1. Strong, consistent fiscal, national defense, and social conservative
2. Some combination of executive and private sector experience
3. Demonstrated ability to lead in the Right (conservative) direction
4. Not now, nor has ever been an attorney or lobbyist
5. Working-class roots
6. Non-Ivy League education

DeMint and Palin are the only possibilities I see on the horizon who can make it past the first two criteria. As far as I know, they’re also the only ones who can make it through all 6 of my criteria. Other potentials I like are: Marco Rubio, Mike Pence, Chris Christie, LTC Allen West and perhaps one or two others that don’t come immediately to mind. I wish another couple of these guys had executive or private sector experience. With the state of our economy, it’s imperative to me that our next leader be someone who has been responsible for a budget, or managed personnel, created jobs, signed paychecks, etc. It’s both astonishing and terrifying how very scarce those attributes are in any branch of the federal government.
