Come along on another Alaskan adventure as we profile amazingly hard workers in the timber industry. Loggers are hearty and hardy, and the ones I know are true conservationists. I cant wait for you to meet these lumberjacks!
During this Christmas season, do you ever wonder where you get many of your Christmas trees, firewood, packing boxes
shoot, just look around at everything timber touches and ask yourself who begins the production of these wood products? Youll meet them on an exciting trip to an Afognak Island logging camp where our daughter learns even more about our familys #1 lesson: tough work ethic and character will fulfill and sustain you.
Learn how the logging families live in such a remote part of Gods country and how they cherish the land that provides their livelihood. Youll see how their reforestation efforts allow the forest regrowth rate to repeat a life cycle of new forest nearly every 20 years. These loggers actually care more about the sustainability of their forests than most anyone because they love their livelihood, they know America relies on our domestic timber industry for good jobs and economic security, they are inspired in the great outdoors, and many of them want their kids to get to grow up to be loggers. Basically, the good folks youll meet want to be allowed to do what they love to do and what anyone who lives among lumber and wood products rely on them to do for us.
In addition, come see Willows eyes open to a new rugged and rustic lifestyle. Her driving skills improve (?) before she undertakes a familys rite of passage with an upcoming drivers license test. Any parent can relate.
With only a couple more episodes to share, I promise you a fun and informative episode of Sarah Palins Alaska this Sunday night at 9pm ET/8c on TLC. Follow me there!
You can watch a preview of the episode
~ Sarah Palin
> Chris Christie who has no problem saying it straight up, but he’s still a newly wed.
You contradict yourself. Christie could not pass the media test of being “attractive”. His obesity would be his downfall if we agree with your premise.
Christie also is an east-coast republican and not very conservative. Yes, he has mouthed off against the unions but other than that, what has he accomplished?
Some of his positions and statements have caused me concern. I would put him in the same category as a Scott Brown for example.
I am stating those are the others out there being considered early on...and yes Christie does not meet the criteria of what a president in the United States is marketed to look like. I do not agree with the "making of a president" as stated. But Christie got elected in NJ as LePage got elected in Maine--both have similar traits.
I am Northeast and my state went Red after being Blue for 3 decades.
The Media is losing last time I looked.
I also will agree with Scott on many votes and know he is there for the taxpayers who put him there--no surprises on where he stood before being elected. I may not agree with him on some other issues but..then I don't agree with some FReepers 100% of the time. I definitely did not agree with Palin (whom I admire) and some of the Fox political pundits on how they defined this Bush Tax cut extension all pork which was in reality 90% keeping money in the pockets of the public and not in the hands of the government. Now some have backtracked. Palin spoke too soon-but then she is asked questions out of the gate--she was wrong on Ms.O'Donnell who Fox would not even hire. You should be more than "just eligible" to run for office (O'Donnell). I followed financial reasoning and Huck as well as a former Reagan budget adviser on the bill not the political "all or nothing", R or L side mentality.
Thanks
No, I missed that!
Palladin: I am going to watch and TIVO the next replay on Wednesday (tomorrow) @ 6:00PM Central.
LOL @ your hot flashes. You must have a beautiful place!
Happy New Year!
Bristol paid $172K in cash for her 4,000 sq ft. house. Excellent deal!
LOL. I like your way with words and now Kate is one of those modern women: single mom... of eight. Good luck with that.
She's amazing! She made it look easy. She simply followed the instructions. I can barely wait to see the replay tomorrow in quiet solitude.
I'm so glad you said that, because I learn from her series too. She's right, it's not a 'reality' show.
LOLOLOLOLOL
