This change was made by a Congress and a President. It can be changed again. And, no, the draft will not be reinstituted to make up for shortfalls if the DA/DT repeal damages recruitment and retention, especially as the military will probably be somewhat smaller in the future.Clearly you are politically naive at best. Once instituted in the military and thousands come out of their filthy closets, how the hell will they ever reinstate it? Are you nuts? A draft would be 1000X easier. No this is one sh!t sandwich we are all going to have to learn to swallow.

It's definitely a negative event, but your reaction is long on hyperbole and short on common sense. If this causes significant problems in the military, changes will be made. Believe whatever you choose to believe. Time will tell.
