“Wonder if it’s part of the big New Madrid fault...”

I was wondering if the fault wasn’t connected to Arkansas as well.

I lived within 100 miles of the New Madrid fault as a kid...had tremors all the time. Even one quake around ‘68 that brought down half of the court house.

I remember that one. We were living in Chesterfield west of St. Louis. I was HS at the time and was in the garage working on some project. The shaking was very puzzling until Dad came running into the garage yelling “Earthquake! Get out!”

So, after graduating from Mizzou, I moved to California to enjoy the real quakes.
