Ahh, that brings back mmories. Saw them play at the old Met in Jan. of 1970; the NFC championship game, which they won.

SOOOOOOOO cold. I went with my uncle; he had a thermos of "coffee" to keep him warm.:) I made frequent trips to the ladies' room to thaw my toes.

The "Purple People Eaters"..........those were the days.

I now live in Green Bay and my loyalties lie elsewhere. But for this one night I am a Vikings fan again.

I remember watching John Brodie and the 49ers beat the Vikes at the Met in the 1st round of the playoffs after the 1970 season. That game made me a 49er fan for life (recent history notwithstanding).

But I also grew up liking the Vikes. Their offense rarely blew anyone away, but the defense and special teams were incredible.
