Who said that I saw it as positive? I am aware of what this is going to do to the military. The fact remains that we seem to be fighting to return to the status quo. It’s OK to serve as long as you remain silent.

I don't want to misunderstand you; You seemed to have found the FR consensus opposing the repeal of DADT as "rigid."
Any less "rigid" a position supports the repeal. Am I wrong here?

Happier than OPTION "B" - the repeal and allowing openly queer men and women serve and commend? You betcha.
What do you think the policy regarding gays ought to be?
