The problem is that you create an “either/or” premise. The fact that Palin is visiting to support Reverend Graham's Charity does not somehow eliminate a shipment of supplies to Haiti.
I'm sure the transportation provided to Graham and Palin, (plane, helicopter, vehicle), was not taken from another Charity that was donating the Relief Supplies you referred to. One good deed does not cancel out another.

No, I'm sure it wasn't. I've made a bunch of trips to Haiti since the quake, some on commercial, some on private planes out of Florida. On the private flights every pound counts. An extra passenger means that the amount of medicine carried is diminished by that person's weight. Add three un-necessary passengers and you create a significant drop in the amount of life-saving supplies on that flight.
A few have scoffed at my number of tens of thousands of water purification tablets but that is what could have been on the plane instead. And, I know this from personal experience, water purification is a number one life-saving priority there. How do you think cholera spreads? Through drinking contaminated water.
