Ponsdorf should have posted something besides a link that goes to a blog.

Sometimes (actually often) a story breaks on a little old blog; and it percolates up to 'real news' sites from there. And often the first word of leftists' planned activities shows up on a little old blog.

There have been more than a few times that I have clicked on to links that are unknown and my computer was screwed up from going there.

There was nothing to explain what this was about.

I don't know about whether IE has this, because I use Firefox; but when I hover my cursor over a link, I can see the link/address in down at the bottom of my screen before I click on it. If it says something like "hotsexwithsmallanimalsdotcom", I know I probably don't want to go there. And there are other things you can use to help keep your computer disease-free; Freepers often post threads about software that they use and recommend.

If somebody posts a link to a site that doesn't seem obviously dangerous to your computer, you could also google that site name and get an idea if it's legit.

But calling somebody stupid, for no good reason is, well... it kinda makes one look stupid. And incredibly rude.

You wouldn't happen to know what got the "blog pimping panties in a bunch" hoopla all started? I never understood why anyone gave a $h-t whether someone posted a link to their own blog. Not that this is the case here since it was ponsdorf who linked to Jonn Lilyea's website. When I see a thread that's linked to a blog I'm not familiar with I usually treat it like any vanity and just move along.
