LAKE FOREST An eight-month-old German shepherd named Roxy has until Monday to be saved.
Coastal German Shepherd Rescue has until then to raise about $6,000 for needed surgery.
((snip))
"We need to raise the money for the two surgeries and we need to find a foster home who will take her while she recovers," Norton said. "She's a sweet-tempered puppy who loves dogs and people."

There are humans that need treatments, too.
I’d rather see the money go to another human (like a child!), than a dog.
Sorry, but it’s just a dog.

Giving the money to a sick dog doesn’t mean it’s being taken away from a sick human.
People have the right to do with their money as they please, and helping a sick animal in danger of being put to sleep seems like a pretty good cause to me.

Id rather see the money go to another human (like a child!), than a dog. Send the money to the dog... after all, the kids have Obamacare now./S

Not heart, but priority.
Humans, especially children, take priority over dogs.
