Well if Bush made those comments then I would say he is the Eastern RINO Elitist he always was.
Bush lied from the git go about who he really was. He was never a Conservative, if I had known he was going to push all the spending he did and enact new Entitlements I never would have voted for him.
He partly handled the War on Terrorism well, if he had never gone onto Iraq and had just concentrated on Afghanistan that would have been fine and he would have looked better.

If GWB does in fact hold this position, it's likely because of Palin's staunch stance regarding border security and illegal immigration. (Bush was/is pathetically weak on this issue). Plus he's an establishment kind of guy, and Sarah is the precise opposite.
