Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio backs Sharron Angle

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- The nation's self-professed toughest sheriff says Nevada voters should fire Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.
Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio said Wednesday that he supports Republican Senate candidate Sharron Angle because Washington needs new leadership.
Arpaio is known for his efforts against illegal immigration and Angle is among his many supporters. She has said every state needs a sheriff like Arpaio.
Arpaio says he doesn't know much about Angle, but he hopes her victory will increase Republicans' clout in Congress.
Arpaio and Angle are scheduled to speak at the National Tea Party Convention in Las Vegas in October.
Arpaio also says Republican Governor Jim Gibbons should thank him for stopping illegal immigrants before they reach Nevada.

Let Palin be POTUS’ Chief of Staff for two terms, or even head the State Department and clean the socialists and UNO garbage out of there.
Sheriff Joe is a smart man. I also would back or vote for Sharron Angle if I lived in Nevada. I would love to see Sheriff Joe run for office but I doubt he ever would. He’s doing a fantastic job where he is and even the President can’t prove he’s doing anything wrong.
Joe loves what he is doing because he knows that it drives the liberals crazy every time he locks up another one of their criminal pals.
I am shocked he doesn’t support Dingy. Truly shocked.
I think it’ll help her.
