This is a great post... Happy Birthday to my favorite author of all time.... Reading Fahrenheit 451 as a teenager was a profound turning point for me... Although, the book is widely misunderstood, I see it as a cautionary tale of what our great country could devolve to if we continue to go down the road to apathy. We must keep our morals strong and we must keep the government’s feet to the fire!

Fahrenheit 451 was fantastic and i agree with you. Another of my favs made into a movie was The Illustrated Man. Rod Steiger. I’ll never forget him trying to get to sleep in the bayou, going to the edge of the swamp and yelling at EVERYTHING to SHUT UP!<p.
And they DID!
