MANCHESTER, Conn. -- Police in Connecticut have confirmed nine people were killed and two others injured in a shooting rampage at a beer distributorship.
Manchester police Lt. Christopher Davis says the shooter is among the dead at the Hartford Distributors facility.
A company official identified the shooter as Omar Thornton, a driver who had been asked to quit his job. He refused and instead opened fire.
A union official says Thornton had been caught on videotape stealing beer.
Police say Thornton commited suicide after killing eight co-workers. His girlfriend's mother says Thornton, who was black, complained of racial bias, but the union says it knows of no complaints of racism.
The two injured workers are expected to survive.

Caught stealing on video and then goes ballistic when he gets fired.
Maxine Waters was on Rev Al’s radio show today complaining about racism in connection with her ethics charges. Obama has opened a sore in this country with his race baiting and the consequences will be broad and far reaching. The black community takes its cues from its leaders, and when their leaders get caught in corruption, they immediately pull out the race card. Sounds like this guy did the same thing, only with far deadlier consequences.
He mistakenly thought that was another entitlement.
They were asking him to resign, which means he could make up any reason for leaving he wanted to at his next job interview. They were cutting him a break and he returned the favor by killing people. At least he saved the families of the victims the pain of having to see him in court.
Entitlement mentality.

Every black person in this country should be insulted by this and Waters remarks. Both imply strongly that blacks should not be held to the standards of everyone else, that they are not capable of decent legal behavior. I am offended FOR them.
The racism charge. One of the problems of the cynical use of the race card by the likes of the Black Caucus and Obama is that such charges add to the paranoia of unbalanced individuals. Press reports suggest the shooter had been caught stealing and was about to be disciplined. Perhaps,having heard the ravings of the Black Caucus and Maxine Waters, he thought his race should be vaccination against charges of dishonesty.
"It's a black thing, you wouldn't understand."
The lesson here is that there are a lot of folks out there that would snap if they lost their jobs under these circumstances.
I would like to see the pics of the deceased. Just curious as to the race of the victims...since he claimed racial elements.
